چکیده
Aquatic insects are the utmost generally employed macroinvertebrates in freshwater monitoring and assessment worldwide. However, aquatic have received far less attention for objectives of health water quality bioassessment, particularly Kalaburagi, Karnataka. This study examined abundance Bhosga reservoir their relationship to physicochemical factors. Water ecosystem had been assessed using BMWP, ASPT, FBI scoring systems from October 2020 September 2021. Samples were collected monthly by sweep net dip methods. There 5964 recorded divided into 23 families 6 orders. Hemiptera (53%) was most dominated insect family, followed Coleoptera (16%), Diptera (15%), Odonata (8%), Ephemeroptera (6%), Trichoptera (2%). falls under class 2 category attributing

Appraisal of Ground Water Quality Conditions by Using Water Quality Index Means in Ranebennur Taluka, Haveri District, Karnataka, India
The present study aimed to calculate the water quality index (WQI) by the study of nine physico-chemical parameters on the basis of Weighted Arithmetic Index in order to assess the suitability of water for drinking purpose and other human uses in Ranebennur Taluka, Haveri District, Karnataka, India. WQI, a tool of rating water quality, is a valuable model to assess spatial and temporal changes ...

Marine pollutants in relation to planktonic and benthic organisms were examined at two locations along Karnataka coast, one at Kulai (74 degrees 47.74''E and 12 degrees 55.16''N) receiving huge amount of industrial effluents from fertilizer, petroleum and chemical plants along with the sewage discharges. The other site Padubidri (74 degrees 45''E and 13 degrees 10''N) is located 20 km away, whi...
